Long before fast fashion and disposable footwear became the norm, there was a neighborhood cobbler—someone who believed a trusted pair of boots deserved another chance. Since opening our doors in 1912, Bear Shoe Works has proudly carried on that tradition, repairing the footwear that has walked job sites, farms, factories, forests, and family gatherings for generations.

Every repair that comes through our shop tells a story, and every new stitch adds another page to it. To us, repairing boots isn't simply fixing leather and rubber; it's preserving history, honoring craftsmanship, and helping quality footwear continue doing what it was built to do. It's a trade that has stood the test of time, and one we're proud to practice every day. More than a hundred years later, the headlines may have changed—but the mission hasn't.
